The questions about how I’m feeling and what’s going on in my head are incredibly annoying, actually. It’s been just over a week, I have cancer, what the fuck do you think I’m feeling?
As I look back over it, I’ve had the symptoms for months without realizing it. The main early sign for esophageal cancer is difficulty swallowing and I’d be making excuses for months; I was choking on my food and telling myself I was eating too fast, or too late, or too much, that I wasn’t drinking enough water. I was dying that whole time. That whole time I was getting eaten alive.
